PERSONAL PROFILE

I am a graphic design artist with 26 years of experience working in busy advertising agencies and as a fulfilling freelancer.; a practitioner in animation (2&3D), online publishing (responsive and interactive websites, minigames, apps, ads), books illustration, merchandising, exhibition, traditional printing and publishing. 

Understanding, Perception, Intuition and Emotions are the four elements that direct my creative work and allow me to achieve my designing goals. In graphic custom design, I aim to maintain a balance between aesthetics and utility functions, always devoted to creating exciting and memorable images. I treat each work seriously and with dedication because every task allows me to develop and maintain my creative condition at a high level.

I am still learning, watching the world around me, looking for new inspiration. I am a positive, experienced and energetic person, open to cooperation and new challenges.

SKILLS

  • Twenty-six years of experience in Adobe PS and later the complete ADOBE SUITE (Photoshop, Illustrator, Edge Animate, Flash -        Animate, After Effect, In Design, Dreamweaver) 
  • 10 years of experience in B LENDER 3D .
  • Use of the AFFINITY - DESIGNER, PHOTO, PUBLISHER, since the beta version. 
  • Practical knowledge of many software for processing image, video, 2D & 3D animation, and also sound, for I create short musical compositions.  
  • I discovered many original techniques and professional "secrets" myself after many years of working in the profession and big efforts to learn and practise.

EDUCATION

I studied briefly at The Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, which is a public institution of higher education (Poland). Soon after that, I started my career as a junior graphic designer and later an art director in an advertising agency. During that time I received many theoretical and practical training in the field of advertising, exhibition, printing, publishing and IT. I have always spent a lot of time deepening this knowledge, learning computer software and hand drawing in order to create interesting graphics and illustrations using mixed computer techniques. Now, in my creative work, I use a wide range of computer programs for processing images, video, 3D & 2D animation and also sound, for I create short musical compositions.

ACHIEVEMENTS most recent :

  • Start-up 🚀  DYFLANDIA.PL - a dedicated  Interactive web app  for bilingual Polish/English children with MINI GAMES and INTERACTIVE ACTIVITIES. I have built it from scratch, every graphic element and game is of my own design. www.dryflandia.pl
  • CHILDREN BOOK APPS - I have created interactive book apps that have been published on Google Play. “The Only Rosa”, “Wonderful Star”, “The Swelling Stones”.
  • ILLUSTRATIONS FOR ARTISTIC CALENDARS - “Fantasy” “Cosmos” “Zodiac” which have been sold in chain bookstores.
  • Start-up CDPAK - I introduced on the market printed CD labels with my own graphic designs, for which I developed an ergonomic display for points of sale and a labelling device. www.cdpak.slawski.art
  • I used to run an ADVERTISING AGENCY that offered BTL Advertising and Exhibition services.
  • ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN for breweries - Years ago, I was involved in an extensive brewery ad campaign for a long time.  I designed one of the first wall billboards in Poland, a can of beer, and endless merchandising products.

I am an introvert, and I work most efficiently in solitude and silence. Therefore, my beloved wife Janina Slawska deals with outside contacts, paperwork and general organisation. She has also been my professional partner for many years, for she is involved in the creative process of our joint projects.
